The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Good: The busy season is coming to an end and I can proudly exclaim that I survived! It seems unanimous on most fronts that this was one of the most difficult summer seasons that I could have been here for. The boys in the shop insist that summers are never this busy or stressful and last night I spoke with a woman on the ferry who said in her 35 years of living here, she has never experienced a summer so cold and wet. So there you go! I have yet to flee south and it sounds like that's some sort of accomplishment around here!
The Bad: As much as I've enjoyed my job through the ups and the downs, the weather has taken a lot more of a toll on me than I had expected. I have been able to find some positive things about the rain and I try to reflect on those often. Nonetheless, it's been a regular challenge to maintain a good attitude and positive outlook in the midst of dreary weather.
The Ugly: Another woman on the ferry last night reported that forecasters are anticipating one of the coldest winters on record.
Ugh.

So, September has slipped by with nary a post from the zealous pursuer. What's new?
